LSRC WHATSAPP COMMUNITY GROUPS - A NEW CLUB TRIAL

Following the launch of our new website along with updating our brand image to reflect our Leicester heritage, we have decided to introduce WhatsApp to our list of communication tools which we very much hope will add a more modern and instant way for members to hear from us or communicate with each other about their squash and racketball game needs.

Most of you will use WhatsApp every day and be aware of the benefits that this tool can offer. We plan to bring this ‘chat’ style communication to various areas of club life to allow members to link up with each other and join their chosen activity groups.

We will initially be introducing one main group for ALL members that we can use to share information and updates about the club or events that are coming up soon. Please note that this is intended to replace the current broadcast emails and as such ALL members should add themselves to this ‘committee posts only’ group.

The other groups that we plan to setup as a trial will be available for any member to join should they wish, and indeed drop out of at any time. These groups will open the door to a variety of our weekly squash or racketball mixins. We would encourage everyone to consider these as a great new way to play squash or racketball and meet other members.

We are delighted to announce that the following groups will be setup first;

Once you have joined the LSRC Community Group, you can then choose to apply to join any of the following Groups that are all visible within the LSRC WhatsApp Community;

BEGINNERS/INTERMEDIATES MIXIN (TUE) – General group – All Members

RACKETBALL MIXIN NIGHT (WED) – General group – All Members

TEAM-LEVEL MIXIN (THURS) – General group – Any Member at around teams 1-4 playing level can join – Admin approval required

CLUB NIGHT MIXIN (FRI) – General group – All Members

FRIENDLIES (ANY DAY) – General Group for squash/racketball games – All Members

INTERNAL LEAGUES – General Group for Internal League participants – All Members

TNA DOUBLES (THURS) – A friendly squash doubles group - Admin approval required

EMD DOUBLES (MON) – A friendly squash doubles group for experienced doubles players – Admin approval required

WANT ANOTHER GROUP TO BE ADDED? Please just ask a member of the Committee!

The best way to join one of the above playing groups is as follows;

Scan the main Club Community QR codes that will be posted up around the club and, once joined, you can select the sub-groups that you’d like to join.

(please note that membership of some groups requires approval by the admin team before full access is granted as they could have group membership limitations)

We very much hope you will all make use of this new initiative to get involved in club life, but don’t forget you can drop in and out of your groups at any time should your plans change.
