Some like it Hot!

If you've played on courts 4 and 5 in recent weeks you've probably felt a chill at times!
We wanted to give you a bit of an update as to the work that's been going on to keep you warm on court over winter.

Our in-house engineering wizard, Nick Clark, has been creating new gadgetry that has helped us to pinpoint the problem and find the solution. You might have noticed the scaffold tower to the side of court 5, kindly lent to us by the legendary Tony Everett and his wonderful colleagues at ECA Toolfast.

After a couple of ups and downs we now have gadgets installed within the heaters that monitor the heating at the height of the heater installation and court level.

Nick suspected that the temp at the top was getting so hot that the safety cut-out was kicking in on the heater. Yesterday with the new gadgets installed his theory has been proved right. It's 42 degrees up top and just 18 at court level!

The automated tools installed ensure that the heating won't require a hard reset and have also shown what our fundamental issue is. Any ideas?

That's right, you guessed it, a lack of stratification.

To some this might mean 'to be without an electric guitar' , to the more ventilation minded this is due to a lack of power in the ceiling fans. Essentially it's not strong enough to push all the hot air down and thereby causing all the hot air to stay in the roof.

In summary, progress is being made and we're hopeful that once more powerful fans are installed you will be able to enjoy the warmth on court as much as in the stratosphere!

We look forward to updating you once this has been resolved and thanks for bearing with us in the meantime. Our thanks again to Tony and his team who've helped us to reach new heights!
