COVID-19 - LSRC Membership Update
As the government prepares to take more action to stop the virus from spreading, the committee and I have taken the difficult decision to temporarily close the club until further notice.
We have already taken steps to reduce our running costs, and we are also looking at outside help to reduce these further. However our revenues are still very important, and these are mainly your membership fees. We do of course appreciate that you are paying for a facility that is not open.
Whilst we are looking at our options please can we ask you to remain patient, and if possible to not cancel direct debits unless you really have to, however we do understand that this can be necessary especially at this time. If you do feel the need to cancel please contact us first so we can adjust the database at the same time. Contact us on: email@example.com.
We our currently reviewing our costs and possible options including:
- The Coronavirus Job Retention Scheme.
- Support for retail, hospitality and leisure businesses re business rates and cash grants.
- The government's Bounce Back Loan Scheme (BBLS).
Please also have a look at the England Squash coronovirus statement for further updates with regard to a return to squash: https://www.englandsquash.com/news/england-squash-coronavirus-statement.
If you have any ideas or suggestions these are also very welcome.
Thank you for your support and patience at this difficult time.
On behalf of the committee,
Leicester Squash & Racketball Club
