Court upgrades next week

Dear members

As you will know we sadly lost a great member, story teller and friend of the club in February this year, Don Gleave. Don was a huge supporter of the club for over 50 years and is dearly missed.

What you may not be aware of is that Don made a very generous donation to the club to help future generations enjoy the club for years to come.

The committee gave careful consideration as how best to invest this and we are delighted to confirm that we will be having 3 new glass doors to replace the existing ones on courts 1 - 3. These new doors will give a fresh look and feel to the traditional courts, as well as brightening up the corridor. At the same time we will also have the service lines re-painted on the font wall to remove any doubt over those low serves!

We’ll need to take courts 1 – 2 out of action on Monday 30th and Tuesday 31st and court 3 will also be out for Tuesday 31st / Wednesday 1st to allow for the changes. Members who have booked courts for these times will be transferred onto other available courts.

We Apologise for any inconvenience during this time but we look forward to welcoming you to enjoy the re-vamped courts very soon

Finally we would like to thank Don again for his generosity and support through the years and hope that he likes the legacy we have chosen for him.
