Committee Update
Dear [[firstname]]
As the current chairman, I wanted to formally acknowledge the former chairmen James Greenlees and Dave New who stepped in with an interim committee to guide the club through a very tricky financial phase post COVID. With a significant downturn in revenue, coupled with considerable infrastructure costs, our club was in a very uncomfortable financial position. Supported by the committee James and Dave committed themselves to the clubs future and implemented a plan to turn things around. As a result, revenue was increased through both squash and non squash activities and the management of the club was scrutinised and streamlined. Through their efforts our club is in a place where we can plan for the future, provide the facilities and activities that members require and continue to grow in terms of new members and revenue. I apologise for this belated acknowledgement, as James stood down as chairman last year and Dave stood down this August but I think it's important that we acknowledge James's and Dave's commitment and formally thank them. As the current chairman, along with the current committee, we find ourselves in a position where we can build on James and Dave's hard work and continue to grow our club and support our members. We can now feel positive for the years ahead whilst acknowledging that there is a lot of work left to do. We will update you on our progress as we run through the remaining 2025 and into 2026.
